PAINTBALLING

PAINTBALLING!!!

Sometimes, I'll admit it, my school is cool. Every year we go out on a trip, the whole school. They call it Connaught's Day Out.

Every year does different things. For example, in Year 7, we went on a day trip to France, in Year 8, a day trip to Chessington and now, in Year 9, paintballing.

Paintballing was so cool, LI and I were the only two from our band of six who didn't get out for any games. We had went to Mayhem Paintballing Arena, I guess that's its name.

It was amazing. We started from school and took the train to Theydon Bois, from there, we got in two buses (horrible, they were so unstable, but it was bearable, especially compared to the actually games).

When we got there we were given numbers. I was 45, I still have it on me, I mean it is still the same day.

Then we had put our bags away and taken out valuables, followed by suiting up, which was a horrible experience. So many layers...

We then got the paintballs and some tape on our arms. Numbers 1-45 were in one match and we played odd against even. LI and I were both odds, she was 37.

After a briefing we were given our masks, which we were repeatedly told not to take off. We then got the guns and put our ammo in and we were off. The first game was, I'm going to call it, shoot as many people as possible from the other team.

It was so much fun. After two games of that, we had lunch then played two games of CTF (capture the flag).

Anyone who had remaining paintballs had the opportunity to be in a bonus game, but I passed, I had already taken my suit off and it would've just been too much effort.

After putting our suits away we got our stuff and a free mug (lol, the guy was like this was why everyone came). Then there was the whole issue of my dad seemingly ticking being collected, which never happened.

We were sent off in a van, no teachers in it, to the station. We got onto the station and IK began to freak out cause there was still no teacher. We waited for the train but then the teacher showed up with the others. We got on the train, got Costas, and then I was home.

That was my amazeballs day. LI and I agreed we'd be coming back. Only issue, the paintballs are really expensive, cause it was a trip, we didn't pay, but I saw the sign (Pitch Perfect moment) and it said for 500 paintballs it would be £30.00.

SK wants revenge on LI because she kept shooting her and they were in a mini death match. In every other game LI got SK out.

I really recommend this place, go if you have the chance.

       Bye Butterflies
