Back to freaking school

Hey guys it's IK here.

I was literally just singing that top line in a high pitched tone - I don't know. Perhaps the time is getting to me (pst it's 3:45am)

I've literally been having the hardest time sleeping. I just looked at my battery 

- IT'S 40%!!!!!! I swear I think I need to sleep before I go mental. Anyway, school is starting next week and I still need to purchase more necessities. Big words people! Big effing words? LI and I were texting each other some night ago and then the subject of school came up. 

Do you people realise how hard it is to type with one hand whilst your other hand in under your pillow and your typing hand is freaking drunk whilst typing? If you don't know then lemme tell you - it's bloody difficult okay. Without autocorrect Oxford would probably come and put me in grammatical errors and incorrect spelling jail. Don't get me wrong, I do spell very well it's just the one hand thing again. 

I just realised I have a mark on my arm and I didn't even notice. Well done, IK!

Anyway, LI and I were saying how glad we were that we would be going back to school. I swear on chocolate I just feel so dumb without my academic brain. I'm making the most of my non-school life though. I'm having a rerun of the Star Wars saga. LI apparently doesn't believe I'm a fan since I've forgotten a whole bunch of stuff since I haven't watched them in ages so I'm currently in the process of redeeming myself to her. I don't have a choice otherwise she'll hate me forever.  

ST was so shocked that she had fellow Jedis in her group of friends. She went ballistic. But wait first things first - if you guys are fellow Jedis as well - when Luke first met Yoda did you not just die of laughter? Oh my gosh everytime I watch it I laugh. I love Yoda honestly. He's one of my favourite Jedis. I have a feeling LI's gonna write a post on Star Wars or she might yell at me for typing this because apparently I'm still in the steps of redeeming myself.

The six of us are going to year 10 meaning we'll all be fifteen by next September. I think that means we're Juniors. ST and I had a massive argument about this one day. It literally went from break time to after school. 3/4 hours. I feel like there's someone in my room. Lemme check... Nope there isn't. Year 10 means starting our coursework for GCSEs. Dun Dun Dun... I'm honestly so scared for them since I'm worried that if I fail then my life is over! I won't be able to get the job I want and then my life will definitely be over! At our school if you're in the top set and you're caught moaning about your grades then you will be given a massive lecture to.

Real example: "I got an A for my Chemistry exam but I was four stupid marks away from an A*," said IK. One of our friends who isn't in the blog comes along.

"(Insert my name) I don't know why you're moaning about an A! It's a good grade and you're being offensive to people who can't even get a B and could only get Fs." IK backs away in fear of being given yet another lecture.

Ok in all honesty I don't mean to offend people when I moan about this stuff but it's human nature. The smartest student in our class gets A*s in every exam (I'm not even exaggerating it's the blooming truth) yet she's frustrated when she loses a single mark from a perfect score. It's in our nature to want more than we got. Unless we got 100% we are bound to moan about it! So please don't be offended when someone is annoyed with a grade that you might presume to be amazing.

Truthfully I know I'll do atleast ok in my GCSEs and I should be able to get a decent job and live a decent life but aiming for the top isn't gonna hurt anyone. I still remember when LI and I along with three other classmates went to a university open day and one of the student leaders said: "Remember in university it's cool to be smart. You're not called a geek or a nerd for it either."

If you're excelling your classes then continue doing that and continue pursuing the career you want and even if you aren't excelling everything there is always something you find joy in which is the very thing you want to do in the future. Doing something you love is better than a nine to five job for the purpose to only gain money to pay the bills.
